We just had to post this custom pancake cake that we made for a really nice customer named Carley. Carley had been dreaming of this cake ever since seeing it on The Great British Bake Off. Her daughter loves pancakes and she was searching for a Philadelphia bakery to attempt the design.
Even though the cake looks like a stack of pancakes, the actual flavor was vanilla chocolate chip cake with signature vanilla buttercream.
Our incredible senior decorator Grace Marullo Bell (seen above) worked with Carley on the order and also decorated the cake.
Carley’s immediate response to seeing the cake? “OMG, we are SO THRILLED.”
Later on, the birthday girl’s grandmother wrote to us and said: “I must say the reaction from my beautiful granddaughter was incredible! Her little sister was all about the buttercream on top. Smiles all around. It turned out so perfect; I could not have asked for a more amazing day. Thank you, thank you!”
